Amazing Time in Vienna, Austria
One of my favorite places to visit by far has been Vienna, Austria. It is absolutely beautiful, clean, amazing, and everyone there is so polite despite the fact that I only knew how to say hi and bye in German. Upon arriving, Vienna completely shocked me with its beauty. I definitely hope to one day return and spend more time here. Despite only being there for 4 days, I felt very comfortable and excited to be there that I did not want to leave.
I got to try chocolate cake at Cafe Central Wien, which opened in 1876. This place once again is so beautiful, completely breathtaking as you walk in to be seated. I ordered a warn chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, whip cream, and almonds. Not only was the place picture worthy, but the desserts were delicious. Make sure that if your ever in doubt, Vienna is the place to go. Everyone and everything there is so spectacular.
I also go to visit the Belvedere Palace which houses the famous painting known as the The Kiss, painted by Gustav Klimt. The garden in the palace is so large and with tons of area for pictures. To enter the palace you must purchase a ticket, but if you carry your student ID with you, then the ticket will be given at a discounted price. Many tourist attractions that require a paid entrance will usually given students a lower price to make sure that you always carry your student ID with you.
The Austrian National Library is another place you must visit when in Vienna. This place has an astonishing level of detail in the architectural style all throughout. Not only is it also worth getting good pictures but it is also a functioning library to the public. The also have special exhibitions of precious works depending on the time the library is visited. This library is the biggest Baroque library in Europe. Definitely recommend going when in Vienna.
As always when in Vienna make sure you try Goulash, Apple Strudel, Schnitzel, and of course a Sachertorte (Viennese chocolate cake)!
