London Week 3

Between exploring new neighborhoods, studying in cozy cafes, and taking day trips, I got to experience both the busy and quiet sides of London during week 3. One of my favorite experiences was visiting Cambridge. The historic buildings and beautiful scenery made the city feel completely different from London. I went punting along the river, which was such a fun and relaxing way to see Cambridge. Walking past the colleges and learning about the history of the university made the experience feel almost unreal and I got to see THE apple tree that made the discovery of gravity by Isaac Newton possible. Back in London, I loved spending time vintage shopping. Walking through different shops in Brick lane (Shorditch) and finding unique pieces made exploring the city even more exciting. I also spent a lot of time studying at cafes, which quickly became one of my favorite parts of the trip. There's something about sitting with my work, a coffee, and the sounds of London around me that made studying feel completely different from being on campus at home. I also explored Notting Hill, one of the places I was most excited to see. The colorful streets and small shops made it feel like a movie set. Walking around the neighborhood and simply taking everything in reminded me how much I wanted to travel and experience different places and cultures.
