Visiting the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland!

Visiting the Cliffs of Moher has been the highlight of my experience in Ireland so far! It is located at southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Claire. It was amazing to see, especially since it was a nice sunny day. It was a four hour bus ride from Dublin, and it was worth it! On the way there, you get to see green fields with lots of cows, horses, and sheep. When you get there, you can visit the Visitor Experience, which shows you the cliffs from a bird's view. I discovered that it is one of the top bird-watching spots in Ireland since there are many species of birds that call this place home. There is also a gift shop, cafe, and a restaurant with delicious food. There is a walkway along the edge of the cliffs and many areas to take good pictures. I learned that the cliffs are made of sandstone and shale, which were formed over 320 million years ago. It is about 14 kilometers long, and the highest point reaches 702 feet, which is fascinating to see in person. I also learned that many ancient Irish legends and folklore stories have originated here. I encourage you to read about these stories. This is also one of the places that Harry Potter was filmed! If you are interested in sightseeing, you must put this place on your bucket list!
