Oh Edinburgh, My Edinburgh

Hi again!! Back with another blog and reporting from Scotland! Week 4 was amazinggg! Only one week left and I'm already shaking in my boots.

We spent the first two days of the week in Edinburgh.

On Monday, we got to experience the Alpine Coaster, a coaster that takes you down a mountain at a speed you choose, ranging from fast to slow (I was Lightning McQueen), with a gorgeous view. We also hiked up Pollock Park to see some more Highland Cows! Oh, how I'll miss those cows.

Tuesday was also in Edinburgh, where we tried the viral Tempting Tattie, known for its delicious baked potatoes or spuds. We also got to explore the Museum of Edinburgh, which had tons of memorabilia of Greyfriars Bobby!! (Bobby is a dog that was a local legend in Edinburgh.)

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday was our class excursion to the Lake District!! If you're a Taylor Swift fan like me, I hope you got as excited as I did. The Lake District and the Windermere Peaks are where Taylor Swift drew inspiration for her song "The Lakes" on her album "Folklore". Additionally, it is home to Dove's Cottage, where William Wordsworth lived and wrote many of his famous poems. It was truly beautiful out there and so serene. It was also amazing to note that we were now in England instead of Scotland!

Saturday and Sunday was the highlight of the week for me, as we got to travel to London!! It has always been a dream of mine to go to London, and nothing beats the feeling of seeing all the tourist attractions like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the British Museum in person. The British Museum was by far, my favorite part of my visit to London. None of the artifacts within the museum originated in Britain, but rather were stolen from other parts of the world. Having the privilege to see these amazing parts of history in person was jaw-dropping. I still can't believe that I saw the actual Rosetta Stone. Unbelievable.

Week 4 was truly a joy for me, and quite possibly one of my best weeks. I am saddened that we only have one week left in Edinburgh, but I plan to use up every minute. Until next time!

Cheers!
