2 Days in Prague

I had always thought that the train scene in Harry Potter was an imagined version of a train - I had never been on a train with the sliding doors and a magical candy cart. Turns out, it was not a hot new take on trains and these are the ways that certain European trains look like, well, not including the magical candy. This is what I found out on my trip to Prague! After two days in Prague, this is a city you cannot fail to visit if you ever find yourself in Europe. Truly, it's at the top of my list for various reasons.

First of all, the architecture of Prague is absolutely beautiful, even if all you do in Prague is walk the streets, you've gotten your money's worth in my opinion. I took over 40k steps in my two days there and hardly felt it because the city is just that magical. Definitely leave a few hours of your day unplanned to just walk around and indulge yourself in anything that peaks your interest.

Now, something to definitely include in the plans is a visit to the Prague Castle. There is so much to see, even more beautiful architecture there as it is not just the castle but also the old Prague city center. Important to not forget to visit the castle gardens, although these do have a cost, it's so nice to just walk and enjoy the flowers which are so extravagantly adorned in the baroque style. To get to the castle and garden you must pass through the Charles Bridge which is a moment in itself to enjoy a view of Prague.

The must-eat dessert of Prague is the Trdelnik or Chimney Cake can be found near the bridge or city center, I highly recommend sharing one and getting the pistachio flavor which is really nice and refreshing on a hot day.

There are so many enticing restaurants, activities, and buildings which make being in the city so incredibly fulfilling and getting to spend even a day or two there is absolutely worth it. Additionally, the public transportation is so easy to navigate and it's possible to get a day pass at the main train station: Praha hl.n.
