Birds in Bray and the Dark Dublin Tour

Bray is a beautiful place in Dublin to go on walks, enjoy the scenery, see the town, and feed the birds. I have never seen a swan in real life before until I came to Dublin, and they are amazing to see in person. The birds here are very friendly and come up to you expecting to be fed. The pigeons followed me around even when I did not have any food with me. There is also a small carnival for children in Bray, which is a great place to go with your family. There are also wonderful local food spots here in Bray that I recommend visiting. Overall, the walk along the beach is very nice, and there are many friendly people in this town.

My group also went on a Dark Dublin Tour where we walked around Dublin at night and learned about ghost stories and true crime. We visited Dublin Castle and learned about the horrors that have occured in the past. We also learned about grave robbing. A long time ago, when people needed to do research on dead bodies in order to make advances in science and the medical field. Technically, it was not illegal to steal dead bodies, but it was looked down upon. People were stealing bodies and selling them because there was a shortage of bodies. Another thing that I learned was that many people were buried alive, and they found scratch marks on the caskets when they dug them up to steal their bodies. Because of this, they tied a string to their foot connected to a bell, so when someone was alive, they could ring the bell and hope that someone hears it. This is where the phrase "Saved by the bell" came from. Also, because they did not want people stealing bodies, some people guarded the graveyard at night. This is where the term "graveyard shift" came from. Overall, this tour was really cool, and I highly recommend it!
