WEEK: FOUR - Edinburgh to Barcelona
It's hard to believe I am entering into the last week of this life-changing experience. Everything I have seen so far is so beautiful in its own way. Whether it be the natural green landscape or old architecture, I am filled with gratitude and appreciation. I am also beginning to be homesick, and once I am home, I will hug a palm tree and not take San Diego's beauty and uniqueness for granted.
This past weekend, I traveled to Barcelona. I had such a blast! The first night, I got settled and went out to explore the nightlife. The second day, bright and early, I boarded a 12-hour bus tour, which took me into the tiny country of Andorra and into the South of France. It was a very long day, but every minute of the bus ride was worth it. On Saturday, I went kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming in Costa Brava. We intended to cliff jump, but unfortunately, it was unsafe because of the tides. I flew back to Edinburgh on Sunday, but before leaving, I checked my bags into a locker and set out on foot for one last adventure. I would HIGHLY recommend lockers for luggage storage. Only 4 euros!! I got home at 10 pm and it felt great to be back in my dorm. I'm sad and excited that in one more week, I will wake up in my bed in San Diego.
