Week Three: Edinburgh - London
Can't believe another week has passed. It's hard to keep track of all my exciting firsts because there are so many! My friend and I traveled to Leith to do some research on the ancient Plague Pits. We went to the site of Sant Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School where the victims were originally discovered. We found out the bodies have since been laid to rest in a nearby cemetery but it was still quite an experience to stand on land that had tragically claimed so many lives during the black plague outbreak of 1645.
On a positive note we also discovered a bar called Boundary Bar. This is a special pub beside the county boundary live runs right down the middle of the property. In this picture I am in both Edinburg and Leith... at the same time!
This weekend 9 of my friends and I traveled to London. We had such an amazing time navagating the city and riding the tube. Our first stop was Stonehenge. The second day we walked over 5 miles and saw the major tourist attractions as well as the Borough Market for lunch.
I highly recommend the chocolate covered strawberries!!
