Bye Edinburgh!

Our final week in Edinburgh came much quicker than expected! Our days were spent revisiting our favorite parts of the city, as well as any bucket list items we had left to scratch off our list.

On Monday, we took a tour of the Scottish Parliament. For devolved elections in Scotland, the voting age is as low as 16! It was fascinating to learn about the various architectural elements at Parliament and the meanings behind each one.

Our last week in Edinburgh marked the beginning of the Fringe Festival! The Fringe Festival is full of various types of acts and shows put on by experienced or emerging artists from around the world. This meant that the streets were a lot more crowded than usual and that street artists were giving us a free show on what to expect at one of their acts.

On Thursday, a group of my friends and I walked the city for old times' sake. We stopped at our favorite chocolate drink shop, Knoops, for our final farewell. We ended the night with Edinburgh Street Food, one of our favorite places to eat in the city.

Friday was our last full day in Edinburgh before our flights on Saturday.

We started the day with one last breakfast at Clarindas, for tea and soup. We wanted to get together once more as a group and eat together, and what better way to do it than tea!

I had been dying to go to the Surgeon's Museum in Edinburgh, so a few of us went after breakfast to make sure we didn't miss it. It was amazinggggg. Very easily, one of my top 3 things I experienced in Edinburgh. It had an amazing pathology collection. We were there for a few hours, easy.

We had our class farewell dinner at Bertie's Fish and Chips. Food was amazing, and dinner was filled with laughs, recounting memories, and plans to see each other once again, once we returned to campus in the fall.

My time spent in Edinburgh was nothing short of wonderful. The experiences, connections, and memories I made here will surely stick with me for a lifetime. I hope to one day return to this amazing city and relive it all again. Thank you for listening, and thank you for this amazing opportunity. If you have the opportunity to study abroad or go to Edinburgh, Scotland, I implore you, please do. This has been a life-changing experience, and I don't regret it for a second.

For the last time,

Cheers,

Christina <3
